Description

Principle of the assay: human CCL23 ELISA Kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. A monoclonal antibody from mouse specific for CCL23 has been precoated onto 96-well plates. Standards(E.coli, R22-N120) and test samples are added to the wells, a biotinylated detection polyclonal antibody from goat specific for CCL23 is added subsequently and then followed by washing with PBS or TBS buffer. Avidin-Biotin-Peroxidase Complex was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with PBS or TBS buffer. HRP substrate TMB was used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the human CCL23 amount of sample captured in plate.
Background: Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 23 (CCL23), also known as MIP-3 and MPIF-1, is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is mapped to 17q12. CCL23 is predominantly expressed in lung and liver tissue, but is also found in placenta, bone marrow and some cell lines of myeloid origin. MPIF1 has chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes and monocytes, lower activity on neutrophils. It has also been attributed to an inhibitory activity on hematopoietic progenitor cells that give rise to granulocyte and monocyte lineages. Moreover, CCL23 is a ligand for the chemokine receptor CCR1
